School days, or my encounters with modern RCs more than 20 years ago Catholic versus ‘Catholic’. Balanced somewhat by being able to find high-church among the Romans in England (and seeing ruined abbeys like St Mary’s outside York and the shrines and relics of the English martyrs!).
Those people are DEAD! Those practices are DEAD! You want a church that NO LONGER EXISTS! — An American priest back then
Thomas Day explained his kind to me. Their name isn’t Fahey or McMahon but legion.
Like the Episcopal left, the Unitarians, the Metropolitan Community Church, Charles Stanley and Joel Osteen they have a right to be but I’ll go with Type 2 high churchmanship.
My pennorth on the latest row at EWTN They do good and we’re close indeed but I’m cable- and satellite-deprived and anyway it just isn’t my thing, babyLabels: the Catholic faith
