• Dillinger killed 75 years ago today. Steve Sailer and me on Michael Mann’s film: it’s obviously trying to glorify the bad guy (he’s got the hot girl; the cop is a dud) but Johnny Depp (BTW see Blow) can’t quite pull off the charisma required as Sailer says. Good to see Stephen Lang (David Abrams, Stonewall Jackson) working with Mann again.
