Obama delivers a eulogy at a Requiem?Never mind who it’s for. Pope Benedict’s still got a lot of work to do.A Requiem Mass is not a de facto canonisation so eulogies are banned. A speech honouring the person is fine but, because of the nature of Catholic prayer for the dead, it belongs outside of church.
