• Who will protest Obama’s war? He sends tens of thousands of soldiers to Afghanistan but that’s OK because he looks black.
• On being libertarian and pro-life. Political compromises/exceptions (except medical necessity, legal in the good old days) amount to ‘I have the right to kill you because of what your father did’.
• The conservative as victim. Retreating into ignorant tribal identity politics or the reason besides sexual attraction people pay attention to Sarah Palin. I like her but she shouldn’t hold office.
• Stereotype fake-out: who is more conscientious about rule of law and secret torture prisons, Obama’s US or an Eastern European country? Like ‘which candidate would have legalised drugs and emptied prisons of non-violent convicts?’
• Canada’s Gitmo or it’s not evil when white hockey-playing socialists do it, eh? It seems the Tories are their GOP. Also: Colin Powell’s rise to the heights of US politics was due to his burying the initial reports of the My Lai massacre in 1968.
• College is a waste of money right now.
• Who will be the new founding fathers?
