• Burnham: there are English bishops who don’t want the Anglo-Catholics. Not surprising. What Thompson calls the magic circle of Modernists still has power locally. People who ought to get over their hatred of high church and the ethnically English and switch to the C of E! (Whose rights to govern themselves and to their property I respect even though they stole much of that property from the RCs.) And leave the running of the RC Church to, you know, Catholics.
