• From a Greek Catholic convert, parts I and II. My impressions of the reality. Basically you take Orthodoxy, strip out a lot of the annoying stuff and add different annoying stuff (like EWTN’s and everything Owen and Arturo don’t like about Ancient Faith Radio, Dobson and Novus neocons... and throw in a whiff of, ugh, ‘Spirit of Vatican II’, not to be confused with Bad Catholics, which many/most Orthodox are like) so you end up with superior Novus really. • Arturo: I was reading somewhere a footnote with a quote from the historian John Bossy where he wrote something to the effect that the modernization of religion is tied into the transformation of collective religion into individual religion. I think that is a good way of looking at it. But how does that tie in more generally to what was going on in the rest of society?
