California’s broke Partly because of the burst housing bubble: the government making banks give mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them, doing so because the people were non-Asian minorities (NAMs). (Trying to force equal outcomes for charity’s sake.) Pennsylvania seems to be doing relatively well because that didn’t happen here at least on a large scale. From Jeff Culbreath.
