• From Canada: ordinariate ‘put on hold’? I don’t understand. All the ordinariates, including 900 English and Welsh Catholics, or just the ACCC?
• One of history’s nasty ironies is that Roman Catholics were the driving force behind low-churchifying liturgical English... answering a mainliner’s complaint about Pope Benedict’s recatholicising.
• Jerusalem and Bucharest patriarchates fight over nothing to do with faith or morals. This doesn’t faze Orthodox because of the reason I just gave and because both churches are still in communion with the rest of the Orthodox communion even if they’re not with each other. Still one big messy family of ethnic churches little to do with each other.
