Happy feast of the Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, Eastern Orthodox, and happy Pentecost/Whitsunday, traditional Roman Catholics.

At this council, held at Nicaea and called by the Roman emperor now-St Constantine, the first part of the Symbol of Faith, the Creed, was first written down, and Arianism, denying the divinity of Christ, was rejected. (Legend has it a young St Nicholas punched out Arius on the council floor.)
