To the very best of my knowledge, there is no authoritative answer to this question in the Roman rite.

For what it's worth, at S. Clement's the automated bell-ringer uses the Angelus scheme; when rung manually, we use 2,2,2,2,9, after the Parisian use, which has very specific rules for bell-ringing.
