How traditionalists differ from neocon RCs
A distinction friend Jeff Culbreath explained to me nine years ago. As friend Paul Goings observed much more recently, even the ultramontanists never envisaged a situation where the ordinary practice of the Catholic religion as they knew it simply would stop (be suppressed) in the West. ‘It doesn’t matter as long as we’ve got the Pope’ probably wasn’t their thinking.

I am a classical liberal but not a Modernist.
