On the usual crap about the Pope, condoms, Aids and ‘safer sex’
What I find utterly, utterly mysterious about this repeated trope of The Pope Killing Millions in Africa is why anybody in their five wits would believe that a sexually promiscuous man with AIDS gives a fig what the Pope thinks before he screws somebody else. "Yes, this is the 20th woman I've done this month, but as a good Catholic, I mustn't wear a condom when I fornicate!"

But then, I'm still amazed that people think playing the latex equivalent of Russian Roulette with two bullets in the chamber is "safe sex". Indeed, I think the very notion of "safe sex" is an idea so demented that only the late 20th Century could have invented it. Whatever a process is that leads to the creation of beings capable of being Hitler or St. Francis, it's certainly not safe.
Mark Shea

The people who coined ‘safe sex’ know it’s a lie so they’ve spun it by adding a suffix to the first word. I feel so much better now.
