The cold shoulder
At least one Church of England “flying bishop” is ready to convert to [Roman] Catholicism, and so are thousands of Anglicans. What is stopping them? According to a highly placed source, they simply cannot face the hostility of the current bishops of England and Wales.
Because these Anglicans are so... Catholic. Damian Thompson gets it. The AmChurch phenomenon described perfectly by Thomas Day isn’t unique to the States although perhaps thanks to the long history of ‘kneeling where prayer has been valid’ both mediæval and of the English Martyrs and, yes, Anglican influence I found high churchmanship in England here and there among the RCs.

From John Boyden.
