• As a classical liberal like me who favours a secular state, that is, a religiously neutral one that gives Catholics and others the freedom to flourish, Ron Paul defends the RC Church from Foca. They tend not to go to church (very Euro that) but Mr Obama’s fan base like their Calvinist grandparents and mainline parents don’t like the Holy Father very much. ‘Safe, legal and rare’ means ‘so-called right to kill the inconvenient’, the ultimate arrogance.
