- Blaming men for the depression: ‘What if women ran the show?’ As Catholics and other orthodox Christians can tell the radical feminists (not to be confused with fair-play equity feminism, which for example saw abortion as the scam using women that it is) all mankind, not just one sex, is afflicted by original sin (only one woman was conceived and born immaculate and that was from the saving grace of her son!). The trouble with stereotypes is not that they’re not true but they don’t tell the whole truth. That said: I understand women tend to vote for the handsome candidate who seems like a good husband/father who would take care of them and: Pollster Kellyanne Fitzpatrick once stated flatly: “Women see government as their insurance.” That means not only socialism on steroids but in the radical-feminist version the deliberate destruction of natural institutions like family and even trying to do that to the sexes themselves (the lie for people who can afford to indulge it that the sexes are a man-made construct like grammatical gender) as a means of personal liberation. Some left-libertarians fall for that too but in principle are too smart to buy into socialism.
- Why are you REALLY opposed to the stimulus? Personally, I stand on principle. Legal plunder is wrong.
- The US Constitution has few friends on the right or the left. President Obama doesn’t want to hold Bush accountable for his crimes and violations of the Constitution, because Obama wants to retain the powers that Bush asserted.
- A good compromise on gay marriage? Not so much. Because the left want to keep the state in the marriage biz (right now they want to make you support gay marriage no matter what your religion teaches).
- It looks like the use of ‘ideology’ serves to obscure whether someone’s principles of politics or economics are well supported by history and theory and simply involves indicting principles one doesn’t consider sound. A smear-word like adding ultra- to discredit your opponent or, in religious discourse, fundamentalist (often nothing to do with inerrancy but a bomb to drop on conservative Christians you don’t like).
- Welfare, adding psychological damage to injury. Thanks to well-meant postwar government meddling we’re not all in this together perhaps even more so than under forced segregation.
- The Radio Caroline of the Noughties?
Catholic integralism is the true seamless garment.
Don't apologize for things you didn't do, to people who don't believe in forgiveness or redemption.
