Bloggers and microbloggers (via Twitter) are quickly becoming the most important agents of breaking news
True but for now as for the past 14 years the small-town newspaper job still pays my bills. Yesterday, during a primary-election week, I worked 14 hours proofing pages and thought that was a lucky break, down from 19 last week. Dinosaur media’s fake blogs (the ones supposedly from TV newsreaders for example) are sort of funny, trying to show how much they know about the ‘Interweb’. (Like advertisers making a fake online fan base for their products.) ‘Never getting within a country mile of gonzo’ as Taki’s Robert Stacy McCain says. From the LRC blog.
