• A liberal Protestant church has a committee on breaking its own rule by communing the unbaptised. Typical game-playing. Those who follow these doings (as I try to do less) know ‘let’s talk’ means ‘scr*w the rule; we’ll keep doing it’ (cf. ‘pastoral reasons’) or ‘shut up and obey me’. No wonder 100,000 culturally Mid-Western (straight talk; no games) churchgoers just started their own church (more) instead.
