- A scam of the super-rich. A way of shutting out the common man disguised as empowering him. Gary North also tells the truth about modern art.
- ‘The common good’ = collectivism. There is objective right and wrong but the first is not best served by the state. Money, goods and services from people you don’t like for any reason are still valuable, and leave people alone and they’ll come together.
- The Greater Depression. When you have a house of cards, you should let it collapse — and build a proper house.
- Israel, Iran and nukes. Lew Rockwell: According to the Brits, one US satellite, Saudi Arabia, will allow another, Israel, to bomb the Iranian nuclear power plants and low-grade enrichment facilities that they ae allowed to maintain, under the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel, which refuses to sign the treaty or allow international inspections of its huge nuclear-bomb stockpile, is portrayed as the victim as it acts to preserve its WMD monopoly. I agree that Iran should have no nuclear bombs, not that there is any evidence they do, and neither should Israel nor Pakistan nor India nor the US nor anyone else.
- When the neocons say ‘sanctions’ they actually mean impoverishment, sickness, starvation and death. Predictably the Protestant right are on board with that.
- Goodbye, rights:
no search without a warrantand the Patriot Act and over-the-counter drugs.
Catholic integralism is the true seamless garment.
Don't apologize for things you didn't do, to people who don't believe in forgiveness or redemption.
