- Global Alzheimer’s cases expected to rise sharply. Why?
- US no longer insures money-market funds.
- Ron Paul: health-care reform is more corporate welfare.
- There is no free health care.
- Because the United States does not look like a militarized country, it’s hard for Americans to grasp that Washington is a war capital, that the United States is a war state, that it garrisons much of the planet, and that the norm for us is to be at war somewhere at any moment.
- How not to argue with libertarians.
- ‘If you don’t like it, move to Somalia!’ The argument “move to Somalia” is quite spurious since Somalia actually suffers from government just like other countries do — every time the Somalis start to rebuild, some country sends in a “peacekeeping force” to destroy everything that was built up and try to impose a government that the Somalis don’t recognize. Eventually the “peacekeeping force” leaves, the puppet government collapses, and the rebuilding resumes.
Catholic integralism is the true seamless garment.
Don't apologize for things you didn't do, to people who don't believe in forgiveness or redemption.
