On the box: my American 1950s-early-1960s-theme film fest continues
Not bad. (Sorry for the poor-quality YouTube.) Either this was never released in the UK or certainly not under this title!
TV Tropes describes three kinds of films/shows about the place and period: depictions actually from it (often idealised as on television but not necessarily as in classic films including noir), nostalgia (which can be well or badly done) and ‘historical’ in which all the problems are emphasised (the kind the left likes: about Joe McCarthy, race and frustrated housewives). This is good nostalgia, believable with a good eye for detail.
