- A manifesto: ending the Afghan war. Let’s hold Obama to his word.
- ACLU to senators: Constitution ‘not optional’.
- Ron Paul: legalise competing currencies.
- The University of Massachusetts Medical School, seeking to bolster the number of minority physicians in Massachusetts, plans to offer high-school seniors the rare opportunity to gain admission to college and medical school at the same time. Under an initiative set to be finalized today, the state’s only public medical school will partner with UMass campuses in Boston, Amherst, Lowell, and Dartmouth to create a joint baccalaureate-MD program that would ensure admission for aspiring doctors from underrepresented ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Liberal charity at its grotesque. That’s it: damage the standing of black doctors who earned their places in med school and make it more dangerous for the rest of us. (Liberal charity: if statistically a group doesn’t do well on a written test, throw out or dumb down the test. Now don’t you feel better?) Would you want to be treated by an affirmative-action doctor?
- Illusions of the Age of Keynes.
- Scott Brown is not our friend.
- Police beat 18-year-old violinist over Mountain Dew bottle.
