• Responsibility vs guilt. On the well-meant hand-wringing over historical injustice. (Contrition minus Christ = PC.)
• Jim Webb vs ‘diversity’. Good for him. Affirmative action is wrong.
• Bonhoeffer and Catholicism. He didn’t convert but the church’s example of including but transcending nationality gave him some of the courage to stand up to the Nazis.
• Peter Hitchens on the US/UK special relationship.
• One of Joshua’s favourite ideas: was JFK a good guy after all and is that what got him killed? Maybe he came to his senses and went back to his and his dad’s America First roots. (For all Joseph P. Kennedy’s faults it was better when somebody un-PC like him could make it in America. I’m still reading Bobby and J. Edgar.)
