Photo: St Saviour’s, Dublin. The Irish Catholicism people still remember, which disciplined priests and nuns built almost from scratch after early-1800s Catholic emancipation. Not without its problems as the great Thomas Day has written, which is why it self-destructed or mutated in the ’60s, but as you can see it could be grand altogether.
