- Hooray for Calvin Coolidge.
- Gold hits record high.
- Ought the Russians end official dialogue with all Anglicans as they did in the US in 2003? Absolutely. (Like Fr Siarhei, Met. Hilarion didn’t get the memo: the Orthodox at those confabs are supposed to be cute props saying sweet spiritual nothings.) Infallible church vs subject to change by vote are irreconcilable, never mind the headlines about sex. As Patriarch Jeremias wrote to the Lutherans, let all future talks be only for friendship’s sake. Some history.
- Met. Hilarion again: mandatory celibacy for deacons and priests wrong. A valid opinion. But this doesn’t sound right. Celibacy is discipline not morals and sacramentally they’re the same church (RC doctrine; allowable Orthodox opinion); not so the Anglicans (except, as with other Protestants, baptism and marriage).
- Bulgaria: religious liberty means schismatics have rights.
- Wrongly deported. Individual liberty matters.
Catholic integralism is the true seamless garment.
Don't apologize for things you didn't do, to people who don't believe in forgiveness or redemption.
