Sunday
- Fr L: sight and vision in worship.
- A look at the Oriental churches and particularly Armenian church history in America. Even more than the Orthodox (celebrating today the defeat of iconoclasm), who share a rite, the Oriental churches are a communion on paper of churches next to nothing to do with each other. Not necessarily a criticism (such as on the widespread sellout on contraception); just an observation and the way much of Catholicism east and west worked before the age of mass communication (the traditional Roman Rite varied from place to place).
- Antiochians and ROCOR meet to discuss Western Rite as they have the only WRO. Interesting. As regular readers know, I’ve mentioned what seem to be the very different approaches the two groups take to Western rites, one I like, the Antiochians’ (the Knott and American missals really), that’s not anti-Roman Catholic, the other, ROCOR’s, I don’t that is.
