- Fr L: Each person must strive for authenticity within himself. Chesterton says, “Every argument is a theological argument.” I believe that real authenticity can only be built from the ground up. It begins in the heart. Each one must seek first the kingdom of God so that everything else will be added to him. True authenticity is linked with the true faith. Only as we seek God in the fullness of the Catholic faith can we find true authenticity as well.
- They say: ‘We can pray at home.’ Thou art deceiving thyself, O man! Of course, one can pray at home. But it is impossible to pray there as in church, where such a multitude of hearts are uplifted to God, merging into one unanimous cry.

- Long thread on Orthodoxy and Orthodox/Roman Catholic (non-)relations. From Owen White. More from my archives. Again: a messy communion of conservative ethnic churches remarkably alike but little to do with each other, which is fine with them.
