Good Shepherd, Rosemont continued

The Catholic group, including Bishop Moyer and my acquaintance from years back Bill Gatens in charge of the music, are now the ordinariate-bound Fellowship of Blessed John Henry Newman. Their first Mass will be at a private house in Devon, Pa., tomorrow morning at 10.

The church’s approach to such Masses is interesting. Even with Apostolicæ Curæ it doesn’t tell those intending to come in to stop; they keep having them until they’re received, then visiting Catholic priests celebrate Mass for them until the convert priests are ordained. The church seems to say while they’re not really Masses, they get the benefit of the doubt, being done in good faith, and may be efficacious.
