The American All Saints Sisters of the Poor are now an official Catholic religious order

Of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, actually being what they’ve probably long been taken to be. Hooray! This has happened before, going back at least 100 years to the Graymoor friars and nuns in New York and Caldey Abbey in Wales.

Just the thing for mother church and Pope Benedict’s Catholic revival: more proper nuns as my late rector called them, and with a touch of old-school English class (all the sisters are Americans AFAIK).

BTW I love the old cathedral basilica (been there), actually of America’s primatial see because it’s the oldest, not the Archdiocese of New York (though in practice it often is because NY’s the capital of the world... Cardinal Spellman and the Powerhouse) or Washington like you might think.
