My maternal grandmother was born in the Canary Islands and her family was from Barcelona. That's Catalonia. She spoke Spanish, Catalonian, and French (courtesy of the nuns who educated her in a Latin American convent that had a "finishing school" for polite young Spanish girls/ladies),n and English.
Why wasn't Andreu Mas-Collel's article written in Catalonian instead of Spanish if he's so Pro-Catalonia's independence?
