The critics may not have liked it but I did.

  • The movie.
  • The true story of Claus von Stauffenberg, the German nobleman, career army officer, and Catholic, from a military family, who tried to kill Hitler.

Es lebt unser heiliges Deutschland!

  1. Not a Tom Cruise fan, but it was a good movie.

  2. I think it's a matter of expectation management. It was promoted as the greatest thing since sliced bread -- all-star cast, Oscar vehicle -- and, if I remember correctly, it was supposed to be sort of a comeback for Cruise. It was his first non-sequel blockbuster first-billing movie since 2005, the year he jumped on Oprah's couch. Then the critics saw it and it was solid, but not amazing, and so they said it wasn't good.
